Chimera Creation Chronicle 1

This abomination of nature has escaped Creature Caster’s dark underground labs, and was last spotted deep in the icy pine forests of Western Canada.
A frazzled-looking spokesperson for the company warns that miniature versions of this creature have been shipped worldwide, and that a crazed staff member – with a maniacal laugh – has vowed to continue to populate the Earth with these horrors.

This inaugural Chimera is the first of our ongoing series of annual creations. Sign up to our newsletter for news on future Chimera campaigns!

Description

We Do Not Accept Blame!

The mad scientists at Creature Caster headquarters have collaborated with hundreds of devoted backers from around the world to bring life to this most twisted creation. A single organism composed from the cells of multiple creatures, an unholy horror, a genetic chimera.

We prepared the DNA (concept art) by carefully extracting samples from a moose, a beaver, and a Canada goose. It was delicately reassembled in our genetic sequencer (3d printer), and grown in our birthing pods (silicone molds). All was done as the backers directed. Yes! At your direction, this monstrosity was set upon the earth. We may be the hands, but you were there guiding, pushing, and prodding as we did your foul bidding.

And now it is free. Its raw power, and rancor was even greater than expected. Chief scientist Mitch was left gored (exacto injury), barely clinging to life (he’s ok), as it burst from our facility. The Canuckmera! An assembly of creatures from the far north, unleashed to terrorize the world.

How can I describe my emotions at this catastrophe, or how delineate the wretch whom with such infinite pains and care I had endeavoured to form? His limbs were in proportion, and I had selected his features as beautiful. Beautiful! Great God! His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries beneath; his hair was of a lustrous black, and flowing; his teeth of a pearly whiteness; but these luxuriances only formed a more horrid contrast with his watery eyes, that seemed almost of the same colour as the dun-white sockets in which they were set, his shrivelled complexion and straight black lips.
– Mary Shelley, Frankenstein

An Original Masterpiece

The Canuckmera is Creature Caster’s first chimeric creation, but thanks to all your support it won’t be the last. With the continued collaboration of the Creature Caster Community our scientific experiments will move forward…
